More clicks are not the goal
Google Ads becomes easier to manage when the account is judged against the economics of the business, not simply the number of clicks.
Start with four numbers
Qualified enquiries: Are the leads actually relevant? Conversion rate: How often does a useful visit become an enquiry or purchase? Cost per acquisition: What does each conversion cost? Customer value: What is a realistic value for a new customer?
Then inspect the search terms
Search-term quality often reveals where budget is being wasted or where new intent opportunities exist. Negative keywords and tighter campaign structure can improve efficiency.
Your landing page matters
A strong ad can still underperform when the destination page is slow, unclear or disconnected from the search intent. Match the message and next action across the ad and landing page.
Scale only after the basics are understood
Before increasing budgets, make sure conversion tracking is reliable, the offer is clear and the account has enough signal to support a decision.
Paid search works best as a measured acquisition system, not as a traffic-buying exercise.
